Funmi Has painted a French abbey amongst the lavender fields. Her painting has been done in acrylic paint on stretched paper. Very well done Funmi, good eye for detail....not to mention your level of patience... :-)
Jean was born in Britain and left her homeland more than 35 years ago. First living in Rome Italy for five years and then moving up to The Hague Holland, which has now become her permanent home. As long as she can remember she has painted and drawn and loves every minute of it, she is a self taught artist.
A natural progression from painting and drawing lead Jean to teaching. Over the past 15 years she has taught art to hundreds of people, both Dutch and the International community that live in The Hague.
In 1991 Jean was accepted as a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild in London. This is an internationally recognised organisation that encourages, supports and promotes artists all over the world.
This last year she has tried to cut her teaching work load down from over 120 pupils per week, to a more manageable 70. Now preferring to give time to her own work and commissions that she receives on a regular basis. Despite the fact of her busy lifestyle, Jean still finds the time to produce several commissions a year.
